Chef Louis Bynoe attributes his passion and inspiration for cooking to his
dear grand mother and his cherished Caribbean islands. His childhood memories in this colorful part of the world
and grandma delights would later serve as a trigger for his Caribbean culinary creations. Chef Louis brings you
a myriad of delectable dishes from various islands ( Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados Martinique, Guadeloupe, Cuba,
Puerto Rico etc...) reflecting the rich blend of the Caribbean. He enjoys introducing new mixtures of spices,
his homegrown herbs, his sauces and colorful fresh produce that provide an unique twist to his cuisine. Moreover,
Cooking with love (grandma's motto) would never fail to bring you an incredible experience. Chef Louis brought
this tradition all the way to California for your enjoyments in his establishment: the Breadfruit Tree restaurant.
Located in Stockton, the restaurant has been opened since 1991 on the shores of the Delta in a Caribbean setting
where he has been well acclaimed by the patrons and received great reviews from the media
(Sacramento Bee, San Joaquin Magazine, Stockton record) and has been
featured on Full Bloom. The restaurant has also
been featured in Northern California best dining experience for the past eight years.
