For the past twenty years, we have moored the shores of the Delta, in
Stockton. Dining at The Breadfruit Tree Restaurant is sailing to the South Atlantic ocean stopping from one island to the next and experiencing the rich multitude of tastes of the Caribbean cuisine. To trigger your curiosity and excite your palate, we present you with an extensive and changing repertoire of savory and colorful dishes from the islands (Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, Guadeloupe, St Vincent and many more ...). Inside the Breadfruit TreeYou may choose to dine outside and let the beautiful sunset and light Delta breeze bring back islands memories or create some. Dining inside, you will be welcomed by a genuine beautiful Caribbean mural landscape from St Vincent, depicting scenes from its market, ports and ships, luxuriant vegetation and majestic waterfalls.

To enhance this exotic atmosphere, reggae and islands music will wake your senses up.

Chef Louis Bynoe attributes his passion and inspiration for cooking to his dear grand mother and his cherished Caribbean islands. His childhood memories in this colorful part of the world and grandma delights would later serve as a trigger for his Caribbean culinary creations. Chef Louis brings you a myriad of delectable dishes from various islands ( Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados Martinique, Guadeloupe, Cuba, Puerto Rico etc...) reflecting the rich blend of the Caribbean. He enjoys introducing new mixtures of spices, his homegrown herbs, his sauces and colorful fresh produce that provide an unique twist to his cuisine. Moreover, Cooking with love (grandma's motto) would never fail to bring you an incredible experience. Chef Louis brought this tradition all the way to California for your enjoyments in his establishment: the Breadfruit Tree restaurant. Located in Stockton, the restaurant has been opened since 1991 on the shores of the Delta in a Caribbean setting where he has been well acclaimed by the patrons and received great reviews from the media (Sacramento Bee, San Joaquin Magazine, Stockton record) and has been featured on Full Bloom. The restaurant has also been featured in Northern California best dining experience for the past eight years.
